General information only
The guides, articles and answers on this Site are general information for homeowners and businesses in Milwaukee County. They are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a qualified technician.
Who performs the restoration work
Milwaukee Water Damage Restoration is the front desk for water losses. It accepts calls and web requests, screens them for location and urgency, and sends each to the closest independent restoration firm with capacity. It does not pump, dry, judge damage, sample for mould or repair anything. The firm that attends carries out that work and alone answers for its assessment, scope, pricing, equipment and workmanship.
Licensing and permits for a given job belong to the attending firm and to any trade it brings in. In Wisconsin the dwelling contractor certification covers only permitted work on one- and two-family dwellings, and trade conduct rules sit in chapter ATCP 110. No mould-assessor or remediator licence was located in an official record. This website holds no permit, licence or certificate and asserts none.
The attending firm's credential and insurance particulars are given by phone or when it arranges the visit, and they are kept off this site for the firm's privacy. Confirm any certification with the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services, and send questions on insurance, permits or scope to the firm in writing before work begins.

Prices are estimates
Price ranges are typical estimates for our service area in 2026. They are not quotes or offers. Your price is confirmed in person before any work starts.
Safety around water damage
Standing water can hide live electrical circuits: do not walk into a flooded room until power to that area is off. Sewage and floodwater (IICRC Category 3) can carry bacteria and viruses; keep children, pets and anyone with a weak immune system away, and do not handle contaminated materials without protection. Visible mold larger than a small patch should be assessed before anyone disturbs it. When in doubt, leave the area and call a professional.
Licensing, standards and insurance
Repair and reconstruction work in Wisconsin is regulated by that state's contractor licensing board. The IICRC S500 (water damage) and S520 (mold remediation) standards are industry guidance, not government licenses. Insurance coverage is decided by your insurer under your policy; nothing on this Site is a promise of coverage or of a claim outcome, and information here is a summary, not legal or insurance advice.
